FFOB wins Best Feature Film award!
We just got the news that FFOB rocked out at Milwaukee's HauntCon! Unfortunately, we did not make it to this showcase to be able to watch the movie with the crowd, but we're sure glad they liked it.
FFOB will screen later this month at Con Carolinas in Charlotte.

Everlong Films acquires production rights to The Horror Collector
Everlong Films has just acquired production rights to the short story The Horror Collector from Alabama based author Robert Freese.
I met Robert at Con Nooga during the February convention that was held in Chattanooga, TN. We briefly discussed the state of short fiction, a few of his published novels, and he was even nice enough to give me a copy of a short story that he had recently written. We parted ways, and I added the story to the collection of things that I would bring home to read through at a later date.
I was lying in bed teetering on the brink of sleep when I finally got around to reading The Horror Collector. I finished my initial read and sat straight up in the bed. I had to read it again. So, I did. I had the same reaction on the second read.
I knew right away that I had to adapt this story to the screen. The mood of the story, the visuals that I could see while reading this…made me think, “This will be a very intense, and uncomfortable 5 minutes on screen.” I charged out of my bed and plopped in front of my computer to pound out an email to Robert at 1:20am.
As you might have guessed…he said yes.
Check out Robert’s website for more information on him - http://www.robertfreese.com/
Be on the look out for more information on The Horror Collector. The official THC page will be added soon…
Con Nooga 2009 was great!

Conrad, Jaqueline and Darrell sign autographs for fans at the Fistful of Brains table at Con Nooga.
A big thank you to the organizers of Con Nooga. We had such a great time there promoting Fistful of Brains. We would also like to thank all of the fans of the movie who stopped by to see us in the celebrity hall. You guys were great!
There was a huge buzz about Fistful of Brains well before the midnight showing on Friday night. We had a pretty good crowd for the screening and Q&A session. We learned that there were a couple of people in the audience who came to the convention for the sole reason of getting to see FFOB! Needless to say, people are talking about this film...
We got to spend a considerable amount of time with Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Entertainmet over the course of the weekend. He even attended our official Fistful of Brains room party on Saturday night (as did a lot of the convention goers). A big shout-out to Lloyd for being so damn cool...
We have two more conventions already on the calendar, and hopefully a very big weekend coming up at the Eerie Horror Fest. More info to come...
